Laser Photorejuvenation

The intense pulse light emits wavelengths that are absorbed by vascular and pigmented lesions in multiple levels of the skin. When the broadband light is absorbed by melanin (brown spots) and hemoglobin (veins/red spots), the lesions are gently heated and destroyed. It also helps to stimulates collagen. IPL is an non-invasive, safe and effective solution to skin aging by restoring a youthful appearance.

~WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

The Starlux 500 skin rejuvenation procedure can be performed on the face, neck, decolletage, hands, legs, etc. depending on the affected area.

~HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

It depends on the area being treated. It typically takes anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes, depending the areas being treated. Make-up may be applied following treatment.

~IS IT PAINFUL?

ou will experience a slight sensation as the pulses of therapeutic light are passed over your skin. The sensation is very mild and easily tolerated. Some say it is that of a rubber band being snapped against your skin. After the treatment a mild, tingling sensation may also be felt that can last up to a few hours after treatment.

~HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

There is no typical number of treatments as each client responds differently. The one thing we can commit to is your skin will become more even with each treatment. Typically, an initial series of 4 treatments will yield great results, although more treatments may be required. After this initial course of treatments, we will evaluate how many more treatments may be required, if any. Maintenance treatments will be required every 6 to 12 months to maintain results. After only 1 treatment, your skin will have a more even tone with a smoother look and feel. (Continued on back)

~WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

Visible signs of aging and sun damage will be significantly reduced. There is an improved wide range of skin problems. You will also see improvement to texture and tone. Here are a few of the areas that you can see significant results: ~Restores youthful appearance ~Pigmented and vascular lesions ~Broken capillaries ~Rosacea ~Smoother skin ~Acne scarring improved ~smaller pore size ~Reduction of Age and Sun spots ~Improves some scarred areas, reducing redness and gives them a flatter more even appearance.

**Treatments get best results when combined with other services. Micro-Needling, Microdermabrasion, Micro-peels, Facials and Anti-aging skincare products.

~ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

The vascular and pigmented lesions/sun spots will be darker in appearance for 7 to 10 days. They will then form a superficial scab, also known as peppering and will shed on its own. Do not pick! Alternatively, a microdermabrasion session may be performed at that time to remove all traces of age and sun spots. **Can not be in the sun, indoor tanning or spray tanning for at least 2 to 3 weeks prior.**Use of Retin-A products must be discontinued 7 days prior to treatment.

~REDNESS (FLUSHING, ROSACEA)

Superficial redness is generally due to genetic predisposition, but these symptoms become increasingly visible with aging. This superficial redness can safely and effectively be greatly improved by using the IPL, a light device that specifically targets the superficial blood vessels in the skin. The light will harmlessly travel through your skin and selectively target the red areas. The vessels will take a darker, angrier look that may persist for 24 hrs. They will then start to fade and will continue to do so for up to 3 weeks.

RF Micro-Needling

~ WHAT IS RF MICRO-NEEDLING?

RF Micro-needling is the newest technology that creates a controlled “wound” (with little to no discomfort) which creates a superior delivery system for Hyaluronic serum to penetrate the skin.  Hyaluronic serum is naturally produced in the body to plump and hydrate the skin, as well as promotes collagen production.  In the days to following treatment, skin cells continue to repair and rejuvenate.  The cost of Micro-needling varies for each client depending on the extent of treatment necessary.

Immediately after the treatment, skin may appear mildly sunburned, red,

swollen, and or slightly bruised due to the inflammation of the skin.  The redness will fade to pink, which may last about 12 to 24 hrs. Most people should be able to return to normal activities the following day.  You will be given a information sheet on post care after treatment in completed.  Most will notice an immediate glow, but visible improvements will take 2 -4 weeks and can continue for up to 6 months.
